A Romance With The Land

Yesterday, some of the NSW CC group met up at Kariong to have a look-see of the Gosford Glyphs. Before embarking on the trek, a young bloke drove up to the gate to greet us. He had seen us from the road and wanted to personally thank us for coming to see this special place.. He looked at the trail we were about to walk on and said that it was a songline that he and Auntie Beve had walked. Auntie Beve was the last female Aboriginal Elder in this area.

Meeting this man was Divinely orchestrated! He shared some of us life with us and the importance of preserving the sacred lands. Jake is a passionate conservationist, skilled in bush tucker, talented singer and musician. It was a real joy and pleasure meeting him.
